[Recipe!] The Best Pecan Pie You’ll Ever Make

Can you smell it?!

I’ll have you know that I just made the best pecan pie I’ve ever made. Pecan pie is my husband’s favorite kind of pie, so when we’re gifted with a bag of pecans, I make some pies for him. I’ve tried a couple of recipes, and this one far exceeded the other recipe I made. I never have corn syrup on hand, so previously I used maple syrup, but this time no syrup was used.

So, if you like pecan pie, this shared recipe is for you!

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 8 people

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease 9″ pie plate with butter.
  3. Place pie crust in the pie plate.
  4. Pour all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix with a spatula. Pour mixture into the pie crust.
  5. Cover the edge of the pie crust with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake the pie for 30 minutes before removing the aluminum foil. Continue baking for 15 more minutes.
  7. Cool pie before serving. Enjoy!

Growing up in Devils Den State Park, Arkansas, has certainly influenced my career choice. I'm an Extension Horticulture Educator for the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service via Oklahoma State University. I have 2 little children and a kind-hearted husband that stays at home with them while I work (more than) full time. We love quality time together, whether it be watching Wild Kratts, going to church, hanging out with cousins, checking our plants in the garden, or anything else. We love to travel, and hope to bring our kids on our international adventures in the future. I hope to bring a unique, but relatable perspective to the OKC metro mom community.
