The Woodlands Resort {and Giveaway!}

There is nothing more perfect than opening the door to your hotel room to find a clean and modern room with a perfectly plush bed that is beckoning your name.  Pinching yourself you realize that yes, it’s a dream come true.

About a month ago, I had the privilege of staying at The Woodlands Resort in Houston, Texas for our first ever Sister Site Conference. Jenna and I attended this fabulous conference together and the drive there from Oklahoma City was a breeze – two highways basically connect us from Houston and it was right off the highway and easy to find!  Upon arriving at the resort, we did have some difficulty finding where we were supposed to go since they are currently in the middle of a major renovation, but we kept driving and eventually found our destination.  The staff was very friendly and the valets waiting at the door were always at-the-ready if we needed a lift in their speedy golf carts.

Since we were there for the conference, we were able to scope out the meeting rooms and all they had to offer. They were large, fashionable meeting rooms with comfortable chairs to boot! But, imagining if I were there with my family, it would be a paradise for us!  The pool itself is amazing, with a three-story double-helix water slide, a kids area, a lazy river, pop fountains and during the summer season, s’mores and dive-in movies! This would be a major attraction in my kids book and they would likely want to spend all their time there.  The music playing is fun and contemporary and adds the perfect touch to an outdoor oasis, truly living up to the name “Forest Oasis Waterscape.”

The Woodlands also has a golf course and nature trails that you could literally walk all day on!  It’s close by to all types of shopping (including Kendra Scott and Grub Burger where we had our Moms Night Out at the conference!), or you could stay cozied up at the resort and participate in many of the activities found there!
