Tanglewood Resort: The Staycation You Need!

A few weekends ago, my husband and I traveled down to Lake Texoma and stayed at the Tanglewood Resort! If you’re looking for an affordable, yet nearby, place to get away – Tanglewood is it!

Nestled on the southwest shoreline of Lake Texoma, Tanglewood’s sprawling campus boasts an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer himself! It’s also less than a 20-minute walk from the nearest marina and there are two restaurants, as well as a spa on-site! Don’t want to leave the resort? Don’t have to.

My husband and I booked a couples massage and IT. WAS. HEAVENLY. The staff was so kind and helpful, and really helped us unwind and relax!

The condo we stayed in was wonderful! It was warm and inviting, had a full working kitchen, and an amazing jacuzzi tub that this momma adored!

Our first night, we ate dinner at the resort’s steakhouse. The food not only tasted great, but the presentation was gorgeous! Sadly, I didn’t get a picture of the beautiful food because my husband and I were beyond excited to eat a meal without having to cut up little people’s food and play referee at the table – ha!

Since we were at Tanglewood during the fall, we weren’t able to enjoy the gorgeous pool area (and tiki bar)!

But even so, there were many events offered! Tanglewood has a weekly trivia night, daily yoga and pilates classes, and live music at the Tower Whiskey Bar! There’s so much to do and experience at Tanglewood! It is definitely a must-see for anyone wanting to feel like they’re really “getting away” but still staying close to home!

We desperately needed this couples staycation, but Tanglewood is perfect for the whole family – in any season!
