We are excited to introduce you to our March Mom of the Month Mindy Kennedy! Mindy is a Disney Vacation planner who lives in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Contributor Britnie Sims nominated her and here’s what she said.
I have a friend named Mindy Kennedy and her daughter is in my daughter’s class. Her daughter has cerebral palsy and has horrible seizures. Despite her daughter’s serious health conditions, Mindy is so positive and she has such a bright personality that lights up a room! She is an AMAZING mother.
We asked Mindy a few questions and here’s what she had to say.
How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
3 kids – boy, girl, boy:
Logan, 13
Graceyn, 9
Landon, 5
What is your favorite thing about being a mom?
I honestly love just to listen to them laugh and enjoy being together and I love to hear them pray. They come together and figure out a way to make each other happy.
What is the most challenging thing about being a mom?
The hardest part of being a mom is balancing the attention between the child who needs it most, our daughter has CP and epilepsy, and making sure the other two still feel just as loved and cherished.
What could you not survive without as a mom?
It’s a toss up. My Bible and my minivan keep me sane.
What is your proudest Mom moment?
Hearing my kids ask Jesus into their hearts and watching them being baptized.
Next would be – Our daughter, had to have epilepsy surgery in July 2016. She had a Vagus Nerve Stimulator placed. Our youngest son takes such good care of her and carries her bag to and from the car, everyday at drop off and pick up. No one asked him. He just does because, “Sissy needs my help.”
